|Here are a collection of photos of the school where CMD’s Congo Bible Camp 2010 was held.
School wasn’t in session yet, so we could have had the whole place to ourselves. We stayed primarily in one large room: teaching on the north side of the room; eating and fellowshipping on the south side. The guys slept downstairs in an adjacent room while the women slept upstairs.
Unlike the apartment we stayed at, water was on most of the time. Electricity was hit and miss (mostly miss) but most of the campers had cell phones (despite being deaf, text-messaging is all the rage) and most of the cell phones had built-in flashlights.
The school compound is on a peninsula jutting out into Lake Kivu. It would have been even more scenic had the 24-hour mist lifted off the lake every now and then. It never cleared up while we were there.
