Dear Friends,

In Chad, we’re already seeing fruit with our new computer training course using the laptops donated by Benjamin, the director of a local Swiss clinic.

Emmanuel teaching computer class in N’Djamena, Chad

Director Yves reports that the 3-month class has been met with great enthusiasm, and has already exceeded the expectations for the people taking the class. Yves’ son, Emmanuel, recently returned from university in Nigeria, has been teaching the course. For this semester, the pupils in the class are a mix of our staffers and primary school teachers. In subsequent semesters, we’ll offer the class to the church and to locals in the area. We’re so thankful for this blessing, and excited to see the increase in productivity by the people who are taking the class.

Another fantastic blessing came to our school in N’DJamena.

Reliable solar power for N’Djamena, Chad

When Benjamin, saw our facility, he was surprised at all that Yves and his team accomplishes on a regular basis, even though they don’t have reliable electricity and suffer power outages regularly. He wrote to his parent company in Switzerland and informed them of our school’s need. Within a few weeks, they had delivered and installed a solar grid so that we now have consistent, reliable power. Join us in thanking God for this amazing and unexpected gift!

In Baraka, DR Congo, Director Shukuru reports that his enrollment is at an all-time high of 181 deaf students.

Overcrowded classrooms in Baraka, DR Congo

They’ve had to split the school into morning and evening classes, with secondary students in the morning, and primary students in the afternoon. They’re in desperate need of more furniture to accommodate the increase of students. Pray for Shukuru’s team as they continue training up the next generation of deaf youth, that they will continue to steadily plant the Word of God in these young hearts and minds.

Truly, your prayers are coveted.
